Ongoing Quality Assurance
Monitoring

IFD can provide monitoring for routine QA functions in the following areas:
  • Sampling Program - Evaluate and ensure the specification is adhered to by the supplier by conducting physical, organoleptic, and restaurant performance testing on the product.
  • Problem Resolution - Compile product information associated with complaints or concerns from the field ; determine degree and risk associated with the complaint; resolve the issues.
  • Consumer Complaints - Evaluate quality complaints originating from consumers and unit managers; determine degree and risk associated with the complaint; resolve the issues.
  • Sensory Evaluation - Conduct organoleptic and sensory evaluations to confirm compliance with standard/ control product.
  • Records/ Systems Review - Review QC records to ensure compliance with the specifications; review production data, etc.
  • Specification Updates - Communicate any deviations from specification to the supplier and the client. Review and update specifications as changes are made to the product.
  • Distribution, Vendor, and Unit Follow-Up - Recommend action needed by the field, supplier, and distribution centers to resolve quality issues; alert suppliers when similar code dates appear on product complaints.
  • Second Sourcing - Assist R & D in second sourcing projects by recommending approved vendors and conducting sensory evaluation as needed.

       IFD will provide follow-up and periodic reports to the client by maintaining a database of all product evaluations, product complaints, sensory studies, and product holds. This allows the client to make educated and scientifically based decisions about their vendors and suppliers utilizing this valuable historical data.
